This MLK Day, Greater DC Cares has a special opportunity for Ward 7 residents!
Ophelia Egypt Program Center of Planned Parenthood
The Ophelia Egpyt Program Center hosts a variety of community activities and programs including focus groups for adults, youth programs on Fridays, an after-school program Monday-Friday, special events and education sessions.
Volunteers will participate in a Community Cinema where they will watch a movie about social activism and community involvement, complete a service project and discuss the movie and the service project. Volunteers can choose from making safe sex kits or creating murals with inspirational words that will be displayed around the facility.
This is a great project for those interested in coming up with ways to positively impact the community and/or those currently work in the community as leaders. Teens are also invited to participate in this project.
